The political unrest and social turmoil prevailed in India after the Partition of Bengal. The Hindu and Congress agitaition over the partition and replacement of urdu as the second national language had pressurized the British. on the other hand after the inception of Muslim League, the Muslims were fighting for their own rights.
the Indians demands for the elections was accepted and justified since it was the homeland of the Indians so the british wanted to give Indians a chance to present their opinions, views and rights to the British government.
