indigenous people?- history would tell you that during the ice age the bearing straight provided a path from asia to america which they used following food. After the ice age ended and the bearing straight melted they became stuck, some of them remained in america and other traveled down to the caribbean and Latin America

Europeans?- after his successful yet accidental voyage to the Caribbean Christopher Columbus reported back to the Spanish who eventually came to cultivate sugar cane sugar and tobacco, bringing with them competition from other European countries, mainly, England, France and Holland

minority groups?-after the abolition of slavery in the Caribbean many people from both Europe and Asia come to the Caribbean as "indentured workers" the main reason being a chance at a better life in a new place in addition to other reasons such as Indians trying to escape the persecution of the Caste System as well as the children of African slaves who chose to remain in the Caribbean rather that go back to Africa
