Cotton is still mass produced and it hasn't ended. Millions of pounds of cotton is picked each year and baled.
The people who work on the cotton use harmful pesticides that goes on their skin and they end up in hospital, also the farmers often commit suicide because they get themselves into huge debt and the hardly get any money for what they produce. :)I was looking at this in class and that is what i found. - it's very sad :(
landowners grew more than cotton
According to Adam Smith, "consumption is the sole end and purpose of all production."
There may be other explanations - but I know it as a fishing term for a piece of equipment. Instead of using a lead weight at the end of your fishing line, create a small pouch, out of cotton for example, pack it full of sand, fine sand is better as it will absorbe more water and become heavier, and use it on the end of your line as a Sinker. The reason being, if lost there is no lead content to contaminate to ocean and after a while the cotton degrades and the sand returns to the ocean floor
Input determines the quantity of output Ex. output depends upon input. Input is the starting point and output is the end point of production process and such input-output relationship is called a production function. All factors of production like land, labor, capital and technology are required in combination at a time to produce a commodity. In economics, production means creation or an addition of utility. Factors of production (or productive 'inputs' or 'resources') are any commodities or services used to produce goods or services
Mass production for companies: such as chipsets, lcd panels, spare parts Flow production for end users: such as mobile phones, tv's.
