∙ 14y agoBecause the Indians were friends with the pilgrims and when the pilgrims were getting ready for Thanksgiving the Indians came and Squanto was the leader and they all brought food so they had a feast that lasted 3 days.

∙ 14y agoThe Pilgrims had a great harvest due to the cooperationof weather, soil, pilgrim work effort, and farming techniques. This cooperative endeavor brought success despite the high cost to the Pilgrim population. Indeed, the community lost many members during that first year. So they had reason to celebrate their survival, to honor those who were no longer with them, and to thank those who were still alive and well.
