One of the most common explanation is that to establish their own legacy as the new rullers of Russia they had to dismantle the previous political system and structure, but since the white army of Russia, comprised predominantly from the low rank officers of the Czar Army and small time owner of land and busiensses in Czar Russia, were still around and in large numbers, though not organized under central command system and hterefore bad managed, however united together only by the idea of joining their own forces under the idea of giving support to the Czar and thus re-instating him into the power. Therefore by killing the Czar, Red Army would prevent the White Army units dispursed across Russian territory from uniting and joining their forces together to resist and to combat the Red Army. As history has it Red Army has crashed violently all White Army units one by one.
There are many other factors that have contributed to the decision of killing the Russian Czar, ranging from a.) breaking the support from Britain, Germany and France for the White Army to fight the Red Army, b.) masonic and banking community that was bringing the gold and related treasures from Russia to Europe, c.) esoterically and religious, since the Czar was greatly endorsed by the church and the most of Russian people were very religious, to remove the church influence Red Army had to remove the central idea of the Russia and the state where the Czar was the center of existence, Red Army were aggressive on destruction on churches as well and killing the clergy, d.) cultural since the last Russian Czar was not Russia but German by descent, their names were assumed and a cuisine of British King, therefore to break away from the foreign influence, killing of the Czar was perceived as the only solution that would save Red Army from great many battles and resistance from the Russian population that did not support the Red Army or the ideas of socialism or communism.
Thus over the short time Red Army has survived and established its own rule, legacy and religion of communism with its own central idea of Russian state : "Lenin and the Party" later "Lenin and Stalin and The Party" later "Stalin and The Party" later it was abandoned as well but by that time all people in Russia has accepted the new form of the government and the Russian state equally legitimate as the people have accepted the Czar Russia one or two generation prior
