The town of Concord objected because they felt that the state legislature would be able to make changes to the Constitution rather easily. The Constitution was eventually drafted and accepted in 1783.
The people of Concord objected to having the state legislature draw up a new constitution for Massachusetts, because they pointed out that if regular legislature wrote the constitution, it would be able to change it just as easily later on.
it wanted to avoid having it be written by the legislature
by writing them on a sheet of paper and having them signed off
unicameral or bicameral, not unicarmel or bicarmel. And it is Bicameral if you are asking what type of legislature the constitution established. (Having 2 chambers for those who don't know)
This was the Battle of Lexington and Concord when the British tried to catch Sam Adams and get all of the Patriot's weapons and ammunition.
The US and Canada
The New Jersey plan called for a one-house legislature with each state having an equal number of legislators. This plan was rejected because with there being more small states than large, it would have given the lesser populated states more power. In the final version of the Constitution, Congress would have a bicameral (two house) legislature, but the Senate was modeled after the New Jersey plan, each state having two Senators.
Legislature Legislation Legislate
I was arrested for having expired registration in Massachusetts. Seriously.
The two-house legislature proposal was the Virginia Plan or the Randolph Plan proposed by Edmund Randolph. He was the?ægovernor of Virginia when the proposal was presented.
Great Compromise
William Patterson of New jersey proposed a legislative plan for the US Constitution. It was based on the one New Jersey had. This entailed the key element of having equal representation of the states in a one house legislature. This was identical to the plan in the Articles of Confederation. His idea was in response to an alternate idea called the Virginia Plan.
