Mount Vesuvius erupted in 79 A.D. because this is what active volcanoes do. They continually smoulder and produce eruptions every few thousand years. Scientific research has shown that Mt Vesuvius was formed 25,000 years ago and was built up by a series of small lava flows and by some eruptions. Around 19,000 years ago, there was the beginning of large explosive eruptions (eruptions which involve explosions which throw volcanic ash in the air). A large explosive eruption which occurred 18,000 years ago created the mountain's current caldera (the cauldron-like feature at the top). This was followed by a series of non-explosive, but lava-producing eruptions. There was a large explosive eruption 11,000 years ago and three small explosive eruption 8,000 and 5,000 years ago and 3,800 years ago there was a large one. The explosion which buried Pompeii and Herculaneum in 79 A.D. was the last large explosive eruption of Mt Vesuvius. There will be further explosive eruptions in the distant future.
An earthquake under the volcano caused Mt Vesuvius to erupt and bury the town under volcanic debris.
No one was involved in Pompeii. The eruption of the volcano was an act of nature.
In 79 AD Pompeii was destroyed by the volcano, Mt. Vesuvius.
The eruption of Pompeii lasted around 24 hours. This is 24 hours of four million tonnes of pumice, rock and ash raining on the city and suffocating the people who were unable to escape.
It was the eruption of Mount Vesuvius that buried Pompeii in 79.
Nobody made it erupt. It simply happened as a result of natural forces.
don,t know but is still active
Pompeii didn't erupt. Mount Vesuvius - a volcano - erupted in 79AD. The ash from the volcano buried Pompeii and a neighboring town, Herculaneum. For more detailed information check out the many websites devoted to this event.
Pompeii does not erupt. Pompeii was a city that was buried by ash and pumice in 79 AD, during an eruption of the volcano Mount Vesuvius.
The stuff inside the volcano was building up,and it broke through the volcano. Then it turned into ash and that's how Pompeii happened.
Overheating some spaghetti sauce caused an eruption in the cooking class. The historical eruption of Mount Vesuvius destroyed the Greek city of Pompeii. A skin eruption should be kept clean to avoid infection.

They can erupt anytime, when magma rises from the mantle and spews out of the volcano.
It depends, a volcano can erupt once and never erupt again. Or, a volcano can erupt multiple times a day.
