William Wells Brown helped slaves escape by using his position as a lecturer and writer to spread abolitionist ideas, as well as working closely with the Underground Railroad to assist slaves in their journey to freedom. He also used his writing to draw attention to the issues of slavery and encourage others to take action in supporting the abolitionist cause.
People hurt slaves in various ways, including physical abuse such as whipping, beating, and torture. They also subjected slaves to psychological abuse by dehumanizing them, restricting their freedoms, and perpetuating a system of fear and control. Slaves were also often denied basic human rights, such as proper nutrition, healthcare, and living conditions.
Southern cities wanted to limit the rights of free slaves due to economic concerns over the competition for jobs and the fear of social unrest stemming from racial tensions. They also wanted to maintain the social hierarchy that was based on white supremacy.
Slaves could be of any age, from children to elderly individuals. Children were often enslaved alongside their parents or sold separately, while older individuals were also commonly enslaved for labor.
Slaves took significant risks in attempting to escape or rebel against their owners, as they faced harsh punishments such as beatings, torture, or even death if caught. Slaves also faced the risk of being reported by other slaves or by sympathetic individuals. Additionally, the risk of separation from family members and loved ones was a constant fear for slaves.

After Nat Turner's Rebellion, there was a widespread fear that a similar revolt would take place. White militias began to form to retaliate against African Americans. Southern slaves passed new laws including prohibiting the education of slaves and free African Americans, restricting rights of assembly, white ministers had to be present at black worship services and other restrictions of civil rights. Along with the 56 slaves accused and executed for the participation on the revolt, 100 - 200 innocent slaves were killed by militias and mobs.
Slave Riders are people that take slaves and trade them to people to work
Well there was lots of slave dealers (all white people) at the time and they would just take people off the streets and put them on a large ship to take abroad! i don't believe this because there wasn't really streets in Africa where they were taken from. ---- What tripe! Slavery existed in Africa thousands of years prior to the invasion of White traders (It still exists to this day!). The old testament even notes warring tribes in North and central Africa who took slaves of their defeated armies. 'Ipso facto' what the (White) slave traders did do was to commercialise on a massive scale (for the time) by purchasing slaves from the (Black) slave traders. This previously small trade became the big business of the 18th century. This in turn changed the then minor African trade from simply selling slaves of inter-tribal warfare, into large scale hunts specifically for the hunting of slaves. It is this which the white slave traders were primarily guilty of.
Because rich white southerners didnt have to pay the slaves and there wasnt many people willing to take the job cause it was way too hard
the people were shipped on boats to Africa to take the Africans and turn them into slaves
