This seems like the old saying I'll have my cake and eat it too. What I mean is that he wants to keep you on the side while he see's other women that's what it sounds like. His friends be damned. He had all the chances in life to be with his friends and if he needs to see them so badly why can't he include you when he goes to see them? He says he still loves you. I say BS to that or he wouldn't have dropped you in the first place. Better if you move on and forget this looser.
