No, I honestly think that Anne made a mistake by making her diary. She was aware that someone would find it, and use it for further research, so why write your personal thoughts in it?
No she didn't. When the men took her and the people living in the attic she obviously had to leave everything behind. The diary was later found by the family that owned the building where she stayed.
