This has got to do with several things.
1:Composition of the soil (Different plants need different composition of the soil)
2:Climate (Not all crops can grow where it is hot and vice versa.)
3:Weatherconditions (Some crops need a lot of water, other prefer it to be dryish)
One also have the economic aspect for growing something one normally would not.
They grow narcotics many places around the world. Not because of splendid conditions for it, it just payes off better than growing corn or wheat or similar.
economics may also work so that one grow Corn where corn won't grow, IE if the government subsidise it and pay the farmes to do so without knowledge of the soil itself.
Regards.
because it depends on the different weathers plantes need
Some crops do well in certain regions when compared to other regions and that is why different crops are grown in different areas. For example, bananas do well in warm climates and may not yield well in colder regions.
Different crops require different growing conditions. In some areas, cereal crops (wheat, barley) grow well. Other areas may be better suited to the growing of oats, beans and root crops. The weather and the season, where the crop is to be grown (in the north of Scotland, or in the south of England, can make a huge difference), the soil constituency (loam, sandy, clay) also make growing some crops unsuitable in some areas.
Because of wide differences in the nature and quality of soil, and in weather conditions.
Can Grow many different crops. Soil forms quickest in warm rainy climates. As a result soil develops faster in these areas which allows for many different types of crops.
