40 days after Easter - Ascension Thursday, moved to the following Sunday in some areas
50 days after Easter - Pentecost
Sunday after Pentecost - Trinity Sunday
Thursday after Trinity Sunday - Body and Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi), moved to the following Sunday in some areas
Friday twelve days after Trinity Sunday - Feast of the Sacred Heart
June 24 - Birth of John the Baptist
June 29 - Feast of the Holy Apostles Saints Peter and Paul
August 15 - Assumption of Mary
November 1 - All Saints Day
November (last Sunday before Advent) - Christ the King
December 8 - Immaculate Conception of Mary
December 25 - Nativity of the Lord
Those are the most major. There are a large number of other days commemoration Saints and Sacred Events, called Feasts and Memorials.

∙ 13y agoCatholics don't just live a life of gloom over sin, there's tons to celebrate about religiously when we consider the life of Jesus and the promise of his resurrection. Thus, its natural to want to celebrate these things, and there's no better way to celebrate than with a feast! :)

They also celebrate a number of the feasts of the saints, especially those of the Blessed Virgin Mary. St. Patrick's Day and Valentine's Day were originally Catholic feast days before they were hijacked as profane festivals with little or no religious significance.
