Why do I have a fuel pick up problem in my 1993 GMC Sierra 305ci carburated.Stalls and is difficult to restart.Upon restart idles fine stalls again in 30 sec when revs 2000 rpm carb is bone dry?

check your fuel pump, it may be working fine, but have a loose valve in it.
also check your fuel tank, an old trick to play on people is to drop lots of plastic tape in their tank, it stays forever & sucks down onto the fuel line, temporarily blocking it, the vehicle stalls, then after it sits, starts again.
