Sounds like you may be slipping the clutch or over reving the engine when the clutch is partially engaged ?
The Forester has a weak clutch plate compared to the 170 HP that some of the engines produce and it is easy to burn the clutch which gives off an acrid burnt smell like brake pads in an emergency.
I get this sometimes when reversing a large trailer or caravan, however the clutch still works so only replace this when it really needs to be replaced.
A rubber burning smell and smoke near your two front tires could be the result of sticking calipers. The brake line could also be the cause of the burning smell.
That sounds like a bad brake or failing hub bearings. You should take it to a garage to have it checked out before something important breaks or catches fire.
This is potentially dangerous. Pick up the can and replace the top. Then open the garage doors and windows to let the wind blow through until all the smell of gas has disappeared (this may take some time). DO NOT SMOKE, USE A NAKED FLAME OR ANY ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT IN THE GARAGE UNTIL THE SMELL HAS GONE.

Less Smoke Smell. LLS cigarette papers have vanilla in them to improve the smoke smell.
The same as the smell of smoking cymbals
The specific smell of crack cocaine smells very similar to the smell of poison ivy, and is much unlike marijuana smoke hard to get the smell out of clothes.
Generally speaking, no. The smell of vinegar may be strong enough to disguise the smoke smell, but the smoke, and all its ill effects, will remain.
