Muslims do not always commit terror. It is a very small portion who actually do and most Muslims do not see them as Muslims anyway (regardless of their proclamations that they are "true" Muslims).
The Qur'an and the Hadith are filled with verses extolling love, tolerance, and understanding, but they are also filled with verses cursing enemies, vilifying others, and launching war. Most Muslims have the sense and understanding to limit the extent the violent verses and expand the application of the peaceful verses. However, the minority of extremists, either due to economic or social circumstance choose to minimize the peaceful verses and expand the violent verses. Due to this type of reading they see fit to butcher and murder all those who think differently than them, even if those people happen to be Muslims themselves. (There have been Muslim Terrorist Attacks against Muslim civilians in Morocco, Saudi Arabia, and Indonesia.)
