Saudi Arabia is the country having the holy cities of Makkah and Medinah. Medinah has the shrine of the Prophet of Islam, Muhammad and Makkah has the Holy Mosque. Muslims visit Madinah just to pay their respect to Prophet Muhammad. They go to Makkah for pilgrimage.

mecca is special to Muslims because one of the five pillars is a hajj

we have to go to mecca at least once in our lifetime for prayer

and give our respects to Muhammad

In Mecca there is al Kaa'ba

Mecca is also the place, where our prophet Muhammad born and live until he immigrate to Madina

because in Saudi Arabia HOLY QURAN was reveled on PROPHET MOHAMMAD (Sallalaho aliyah waalahi waslam) and KAABA (the home of ALLAH) is also in Saudi Arab .in ISLAM is a duty for every MUSLIM who has enough money to travel to ARAB, must perform HAJJ .
