There are two fuel pumps in a Mercedes 300E
Their are two fuel pumps located under the car right near the right rear axle under a cover. The fuse from the tank goes to the low pressure pump. Then the fuel goes into the high pressure pump, through the accumulator, and onto the engine. Hope this helps
To give more pressure
Yes... The main fuel pump receives fuel under pressure from a primer pump located in the fuel tank.
Two pumps. Both are located under the car near the fuel tank. They are found under a removable cover. Hope this helps.
I wonder that too for my 420 sel. My mechanic says that it is because the fuel needs to be pressurised on its way to the engine; less wear with two pumps doing the job? I don't know.
On the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. It is cover with a black cover. Remove it and there is the fuel filter along with the two fuel pumps.
Yes - at the left rear forward of the rear axle under a black plastic cover.
