Cakes tend to have a heavier texture than expected if the recipe isn't followed correctly. Some of these factors include an ingredient being off. For example, if there was too much baking soda in the recipe, the cake would be dense as a result. Also, whipping the cake batter too much will cause it to become tough after done baking.

One of the things that makes a cake less dry is the fat content. If the recipe calls for milk, make sure you use whole milk and not reduced fat milk. Egg whites can also cause dryness, so try reducing the number of egg whites by one or two.

Why is all your cakes is too heavy?

Depends on what you mean by this. Cakes are heavy because they're supposed to be big. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- When making a cake it is important to follow the recipe EXACTLY - make sure that the recipe you are using is OK by following one from a book (sometimes hand me down recipes have mistakes in them). If you do this and your cakes are still heavy then check the temperature of your oven (get an oven thermometer).

What would you use baking soda to bake?

What is actual-texture?

Actual texture is the way that a painting actually feels to the touch, regardless of what is in the painting. An artist may pay close attention to the actual texture, for example a mixed media artist might add sand to the surface of his piece. Other artists won't pay as close attention to their paintings' texture, for example a painter might not intentionally add texture but her painting would have the texture of her paint
