No, actually they need to get out of water sometimes. BUT, they can only survive out of water for about 10min or less

No you do not need it because crawfish are not good swimers and can die if you have that much water.

Chlorine gas, you would die. Chlorinated water, yes. You still sweat in water and if you get dehydrated your body can overheat.
