Being a pure vegetarian (I assume that means never straying from the vegetarian lifestlye) does not automatically guarantee relief from all dietary issues. Our bodies use different vitamins and nutrients for all kinds of things. Each plant food provides a different kind and amount of these nutrients, so vegetarians can still eat too much of one or not enough of another type of food, there by throwing their digestive system out of wack. Also, vegetarians can still have food Allergies and strong reactions to certain plant foods.
Because they are referring to the person's diet. Many vegetarians call people who eat meat non-vegetarians while they usually call themselves omnivorous.
Vegetarians need the same things that other people need.
Anyone with special dietary requirements such as people who can't eat certain foods e.g. allergies/intolerances, people who choose not to eat certain foods e.g. vegetarians and people who need to eat certain foods e.g. diabetics.
If you are allergic to a food you can avoid that food. For most people there is no dietary intervention that will help.

It is difficult to accurately determine the average population of non-vegetarians worldwide as dietary preferences vary widely across cultures and regions. However, it is estimated that the majority of the global population consumes a diet that includes meat and animal products.
