∙ 10y agoNo larynx, jaw shape is improper for speech and no lip/tongue coordination. Aside from the fact that dogs can not handle the conceptualizations humans can, so barking conveys some feelings or alarms, but is not as combinatorial rich as human speech.
Of course my dog may think differently!
