There are several reasons a dog drags its rear end across the carpet. Itch, irritation, fleas or even blocked anal glands. If it is occurring after being groomed your groomer may not have rinsed the shampoo off completely or the area may irritated due to being messed with during the grooming process. Or it could be a sign of a more serious problem where your dogs anal glands have become blocked and need to be expressed. If the problem persists you may need to see a vet to have them expressed so they do not rupture, thus hurting your dog AND your wallet.
