Because they wonder what it is and run and gets it and brings it back if there well trained because if they aren't they'll just run off with it :P ALSO BECAUSE DOGS LIKE TO PLAY WITH THINGS AND THEY LIKE TO RUN SO THEY WANT YOU TO THROW IT.
