Dogs are refreshingly free from all human hang-ups regarding personal space and body part taboos. They take in an enormous amount of information through their olfactory sense, much, much more than humans. It stands to reason that they will use that sense in any way they can to find scents that are distinctive and unique to various individuals. Dogs rely more on scent than on any other senses or cues. It may seem strange to us when dogs do this, but we need to understand that dogs are not people. They don't give a hoot what we think about their natural approach to the world. That part of a body produces scents that are distinctive, and so a dog is tuned in to that. Most dogs are not sensitive to color, so visual cues will be handled differently by dogs than most of us would think.
Say that you are going about your day and suddenly something brightly and vibrantly colorful comes into view. You will likely turn toward it and pay attention for a while. That's all dogs are really doing. What's interesting is interesting. Some dogs can be trained to indicate which urine sample out of several comes from a person dealing with cancer. THAT indicates the level of subtle and sensitive discrimination a dog can engage in using the sense of smell.
that's easy they just love to keep warm next to you at all time. and when they don't have you they want to snongle up to the blanket for warmth. dogs are so cut go to kids.Yahoo.com nwo and play game or www.icarly.com

Actually, its not just female crotches, but there's a lot more to be told from a female crotch than a male one.
A male dog is constantly in search of a female in heat, the way they know is by scent, a bitch in heat releases a specific pheremone, which they have to look for. Believe it or not, there are subtle differences between your pheremones and those released by other mammals - sometimes a dog has to check... just to be sure.
Bitches also like to know when other dogs are in heat, pregnant, feeding pups etc. They can't chat about it like we do, so they work all this out from the scent and body language of the other animal.
Dogs are very curious creatures, and very social - so think of it more as the dog listening to tales of your day, asking questions like, "Hi how are you? What did you eat? Are you on your period? Are you pregnant yet? Have you done anything exciting?" than an awkward sniffing.
Cause there dirty horny bastards and i can't blame them, i have that fetish too. Kidding they sniff everything dude!

No, not all dogs have black noses. Some dogs have pink noses, or even white. Some dog's noses are black to keep their nose from getting a sunburn.
Dogs noses are so soft and cute and wonderful in every way!
the way we smell through our noses
No, dogs smell with their noses.
Yes, Lhasa Apso's do have wet noses, like all dogs do. There noses are wet because they lick them to keep them healthy. If there nose is dry, they are probably sick.
No, this is an old wives' tale. Some dogs naturally have dry noses, while others naturally have wet noses.
to clean it
No. Dogs Smell with their nose just like everything else that has a nose. Their noses are a lot more sensitive than human noses so they can pick up smells that we cant. Dogs do not however have any way to smell with their teeth.
no
I have a 10 month old yellow golden retriever and when i go to hug my son or daughter he starts to jump upHELP .....
Dogs have cold noses because when they breathe they exhale water vapor through their noses. The vapor condenses on their noses and cools them down, similar how sweat cools down a human's body.
