Some models came with air suspension in the rear. A small air compressor in the trunk would allow the driver to adjust the rear suspension on the fly. If the car is sinking when the car is turned off the system has a leak and needs servicing.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually, the compressor is under the hood, drivers side. It cannot be adjusted on the fly. They are called " air springs ", controlled by computer, and a level gauge on the rear differential. When the load is heavy, the air bags will be pumped up to maintain constant level in the rear. If, after some time the rear sits too low, then the system does have a leak. Which could be in the air bag or in the line. To replace the system is very costly, and yes you can replace the air bags with regular coil springs to save cost. Rides almost as well.

Low fuel pressure, clogged air filter or off timing can all cause rough running. There could be sensor issues or more serious engine internal problems.
Just remove the small screw. Comes right off.
You have to take the front of the engine off to get to it. Pain in the butt.
