Because it keeps them from getting lost.

They fly in a "V" because it lessens the wind resistance for the ones in back,if you had ever hunted geese you would know the one in front is the biggest oldest one with the toughest meat.Even if some got lost from the group they would still fly to the same spot they do every year.

it conserves their energy. Each bird flies slightly above the bird in front of him, resulting in a reduction of wind resistance. The birds take turns being in the front, falling back when they get tired. In this way, the geese can fly for a long time before they must stop for rest.
The second benefit to the V formation is that it is easy to keep track of every bird in the group. Fighter pilots often use this formation for the same reason.
The disturbance caused by the wing-beats of a bird in front of it, lowers the air-resistance for the following bird. A v-formation is highly efficient. the birds take turns taking the front position.
They fly in a V-shape so that the goose in the front breaks the wind for the other geese, thus making it easier for the rest of the flock to fly. They take turns being at the front of the V so that they all share the task.
Geese fly in a v so they can sniff each others butts
because they were born to do that.
Migrating Canada Geese fly in a loose V formation.
All geese like to fly in the V formation also known as a skein formation. This formation helps with their flying efficiency and how far they can fly.
Since geese fly in V formation to conserve energy by flying in the wake of the previous bird I believe that the longer arm of the V has less wind resistance and it therefore easier to fly in.
The geese fly in a V formation because they can flow off of each others air waves. It helps them be able to fly longer and farther before needing to rest. The goose in the front trades places with one of the back birds every once in a while.
Geese, cranes, ibises, cormorants.
I watch Canadian Geese fly over my house in a v formation all the time. :-)
Geese fly in a typical V formation from Canada to Mexico. The trip generally takes around a month because the trip is over 2,200 miles long.
Not sure about the same speed but the leader of the V changes with other geese its flying with, because if they are at the front they are taking most of the air resistance and is therefore harder to fly for them.Almost, but the ones at the back are going a little slower or else they'd all be in a line not a V.
Canada geese migrate to find food. In Canada, when the grass is frozen over, the geese fly elsewhere. They fly in a V shape so every geese can get to their destination safely. They don't use magnetism or the sun to get to the destination, they use landmarks learnt by their parents or flock. Hope this helps :)
Yes, *Geese Do Fly.
A group of geese flying in "V" formation is called a wedge.
How do geese know where to fly
