Why do girls act like nothing is wrong but yet you can tell something is wrong?

AnswerWe don't want anyone to know that we're about to explode, AND we want guys to show that they care when they ask. AnswerWell, as a girl, I have to say that we don't always want our feelings out there for the world to see. However , if our significant other is the one asking what's wrong, we kind of want you to keep asking us to show that you pay attention to our feelings and to show that you do care about us. AnswerI don't want him to know somethings wrong because as soon as he knows, he asks lots of questions I mightn't have answers to, desperately trying to solve the problem, when im in no mood to, too emotional to talk about it eg. mad, confused or upset. I think its best to talk about problems when ur not too emotional. In some cases I like to have some private/personal thought about it before talking about it together to see if I can work through it in my head and make sense of it, and perhaps by doing this i feel it will be easier to talk about it together when im ready. Its not to be thought about for too long by yourself though i believe. Its best to talk it over together in the end, clear up misunderstandings, come to a comprimise or fair solution, or agree to disagree etc.

I think in some cases people are just afraid of the kind of reaction they'll get, from sharing it, if they go about it the wrong way, and blame their significant other, it can lead to defensiveness from their partner and more blaming, which can escalate to arguing and fighting. But If you really trust the person you're with, i think its easier to talk about something being wrong, generally speaking, because you trust their reaction will be supportive and more likely lead to a positive resolution.

I also agree about not always wanting 'our feelings out there for the world to see'.

We may think that our feelings are irrelevant to the everybody else, thinking that keeping ourselves locked up until we get home is the best. We feel if we keep whatever is going happy and light, everyone will have a good time.
