Its basically a young thing. He should grow out of it. Although some never do. Dont pressure him. Dont make it about you. It's not personal. It probably is just that he doesn't want to appear that he is weak, or "girly" Its what young boys do. They want to appear "macho" and that is their way of doing it... however silly it is... its what they do. And when the friends aren't there, his way of saying "im sorry" might be to be all over you? Who knows, but we have all been at that age where the boys did that. ' Hopefully he will grow out of it, and one day it wont matter what his friends think. Right now he is probably at that age where what the friends think is really important to the "image" So dont worry. It wont last forever... HOPEFULLY.
