Why do i have no power when i turn the key when my battery is good?

When did this problem happen, and maybe what sequence of events happened leading up to this problem. All I can suggest without hearing further is that maybe your battery terminals are badly corroded, or that the alternator is simply not connected to the battery. does the interior light work, the radio, the brake lamps, does every thing but the ignition work or does nothing work. If every thing but the ignition works, take a large wrench, find the starter underneath the truck, and slap the starter silly for a cuple of minutes. If it starts after that, drive it to the parts store and when you get there don't turn it off, for it may not restart, buy a starter while your there and possibly a soda (gets hot workin on cars), drive back home and replace the starter. If you need to, you can ask later on How do I replace starter or How do I drive back to parts store to get refund on core Ill gladly answere those too, with a little sarcasm of course.

It is most likely a dead battery, especially if there is no power for lights or the radio. Check and clean the battery terminals because corrosion can break the electrical circuit.

Dead battery? Bad starter? Bad/dirty connections on battery cables? If you know the battery is good, you have to listen when the key is turned. if there is an audible "click" when you turn the key its mostlikely the starter.

Then you have a defective of corroded battery cable or your main fuse is blown.
How do you install car stereo so you don't have to have the key in the ignition to operate it?
On stereos there are two power connections. One that supplies power from the battery and one that supplies it from the ACC position on the key. To not have this happen you can remove the power cable from the acc position and put it on the same connection as the battery power, still going through the fuses. Now when ever you turn on the stereo with the key off the stereo will stay on. One note of warning tho. I have had to jump several cars with dead batteries from this type of setup. So if you walk away from the car remember to turn it off. Another solution is to put a switch in the dash that can be used to turn on power for those times you want it. Just hook the switch up in parallel with the acc power input so when no key is in the acc power will get power from the battery. Then turn it off when you are done. It wont hurt anything if you leave it on and then turn the key on. But if its off and the key is off you also wont run down the battery.

I think your battery might not be having enough power to crank the car as well as the supply the power to do all the things that it runs . Things to do; check battery wires, clean wires and battery terminal (you can use baking soda, bleach, or some kinda of soda (base) to clean off the acid). Good Luck! Also check to see your crank's manufacture is specified.
