check your furnace or kitchen.
A rotten egg odor may indicate a dead rodent or animal in or near the ventilation system, whether in a house or car.
If its a sweet smell you may have a heater core leak and the fan is blowing antifreeze thru the vents. If its a moldy rotten smell you have mold growing in your vents. This happens when the moisture does not drain properly causing mold. You can purchase a spray at most auto parts store to kill and stop this and refresh your air vent system.
Depends on the smell. if it smells sweet, like antifreeze, then it is probably a leak in the heater core. This is a small radiator that runs from the main radiator and makes hot air for the heater. If it smells like gasoline, may be a gas leak. Do not drive the car, get it fixed by a professional. If it smells like smoke, it may be an oil leak. get it checked.
see that vent is downstream from trap
Your drain waste vent is plugged or leaking somewhere. The drain waste vent is a pipe that carries sewage gas out of your home, exiting usually the roof but sometimes the side of the house. Get it fixed asap, this is not good for you.
You probably over-filled your gas tank and the smell is the excess coming out the vent. Or, you could have a leak/rip/tear in a gas line somewhere, in which case you're driving a bomb on wheels that could blow at any moment. Don't smoke near the car and take it in to a mechanic if the smell doesn't go away after a couple days of driving.
Possibly, but the supply lines should be in the wall. Even on a slab house, the water should come into the house at the water heater and then be in the walls. Possible heat vent leak? I'm assuming a slab house because if there was access underneath, you would be able to tell if there was a leak.
Check your vent pipe. Does it vent to the outside? If so, is it blocked? Is the vent pipe breached? The vent is the most likely cause.
no not a good idea you should never have a return in the bathroom or the kitchen the return will recirculate the smell through out the house bathrooms need an isolated vent this keeps the smell outside the house
The vent on the roof of your house may be blocked up. Your will need to check that. Try pouring a cup of vinegar into the toilet bowl and then add 1 cup of baking soda. This will fizz up but freshen the pipes.
The answer depends on the thermostat setting as well as the kind of heating system that you have.
