Not all ionic salts dissolve in water, just most of them.

Anyways, most molecular substances don't dissolve in water because they are more stable not dissolved. This is partly due to the fact that covalent bonds are stronger than ionic bonds.

An example of a non-polar substances that can dissolve in water is diatomic fluorine, which when bubbled into water will dissolve.

ionic solids dznt dissolve, they get ionized in water. . . .and ionization is too fast than dissolution. .

Nonpolar compounds are not soluble or very less soluble in water, bcoz water itself is polar copound

The charge present in the polar water molecules attract the ionic and polar substances. This attraction pull other substances apart and help the substance to dissolve in water.
