Not only because of the new technologies which were brought in but also for several innovations adopted, after the first stage of the war, in the tactics, logistics and strategy, innovations that unfortunately were not found worth studying by the Europeans Strategist and General Staffs of that time and after that time for about further 70 years until sir Basil H. Liddel Hart a (civilian) scholar of military art, first "rediscovered" them, followed also by other scholars of the military establishment.
