Why do modern intentions not matter to Jehovahs witnesses ex I celebrate bdays bc I am glad a person is alive not for a pagan god or I say bless you bc I hope or pray someone isn't getting sick?

Even if the pagan origin of birthdays is ignored it is vital to note that Christians of the 1st century and even earlier worshippers of the true God did not celebrate birthdays. Still the origin of birthdays must have mattered to 1st century Christians for the Greeks of their time endulged in spiritistic practices that made an attachment to birthday celebrations. If well researched, The Bible, the basis for all the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses, points to two birthday celebrations (Pharaoh and Herod) in which horrific executions took place for the pleasure of the birthday holder. It makes sense that such connections would move a Christian to avoid anything with questionable connections or origins.
