If you don't have a volt meter, you'll need one. Check the dash light and/or running light voltage at the switch. Make sure you have voltage THERE. If not, backtrack and see if there is voltage INTO that part of the switch. Dashboard and running lights usually have a different input and the headlights can work if the dash doesn't. If you have voltage into the dasboard circuit, you probably still have a bad switch. If there isn't any voltage present on the input side, you'll need a wiring diagram for your vehicle and start backtracking until you find voltage. It could still be a connector or wire somewhere between your switch and the fuse panel.
You probably have a bad ground. Check the grounds on the brake lights.
Try checking the car manual or diagram at the fuse box and make sure it's got the proper fuse amp rating.. if someone replaced it with a wrong type, the wiring may be over heating from too many amps going thru it. Also get ahold of a wiring diagram and check the grounds.
Check the grounds for the headlights.
It sounds like the spark plug wires may not be connected to the right cylinders. Check your firing order to make sure it is correct.
How do your headlights look? If the headlights are dim, it is possible your charging system is at fault. If your headlights are bright, then check your body grounds.
What's dim? If it's the headlights, they have to be compounded out and then polished.
Make sure the bulbs are there and in good condition. If the tailingts work it would not have been the switch. There is an issue with the wiring between the switch and the lights. Check the grounds for the lights and check the wiring between the switch and the bulbs.
Grounds for a headlight on a 2002 Honda Civic are found stemming from the wiring of the lights themselves. To replace a ground remove the old wire and solder on a new one.
Turn signals just quit working- have replaced flasher- checked all bulbs and fuses, checked all obvious wires, cleaned grounds, replaced the turn signal switch (that was an adventure). At a loss- any help out there? Hazards work fine- all other lights work fine- turn signals dead
2002 c/v has aligting control module that controls grounds to all lighting in the vehicle
check all fuseable links and/or grounds
Check grounds
