One word... Convenience.
Basically, newer cars go faster than older cars which increases the likeliness of accidents occuring. Newer cars have more airbags than older cars. And some older cars do not have them at all. Older cars may not have features such as crumple zones which protect the front of the car better. Seatbelts is also an issue, older cars may just have lap belts, or none at all. Hope this helps a bit. x
No, It really just depends on the cars condition old cars can be just as good or better then new cars, it just matters how they were maintained
it is a rebreather not needed for most older cars just plug up the vac um lines on carburetor
Did they used to go off with the ignition? On most cars, the headlights will come on at any time by just turning them on. The car does not need to be running or the key turned on.
probably unsrew the old ignition and disconnect it from the cars battery then replace the new ignition and reconnect it to the car battery. you may or will need to take apart the dash board somehow. or you could just ask a mechanic.
New cars can adjust and get better gas mileage, older car 2002/older, you are just wasting money.
Depends. A vehicle CAN be built to run w/o battery. Particularly if they have magneto ignition. Plenty of older motorcycles that will run just fine w/o battery. Modern cars, it can go either way.
Cars have changed in many ways. Better suspension gives smoother rides. The fuel economy has increased while putting out cleaner emissions. And cars break down less that older models. These are just a few ways that cars have changed.
I would assume you could in any car. I know you can in motorcycles, boats, American cars, etc. Just find the part and a repair manuel.
You didn't ask for a specific car, so I'll just give you a range. Most BMW's will range in horsepower from around 200 (the entry-level type cars) to 400 and higher (BMW's M division cars).
By changing the ignition timing and fuel/air mixture. Easier on an ECU/FI system, the dealership just reprogrammes it. On carburreted cars it takes time and patience. Rejetting might be necessary. On older engines the cylinder head may require hardened valve seats, or a lead replacement additive needs to be used.
Try putting the key in the ignition and turning it. That's how people usually start cars!
