Parents always think they're right because they think that they are older so more intelligent. It is so annoying when you know you are right when they say that you are wrong or lying. But I guess you will have to deal with it for a couple of years until they pass away :)

∙ 13y agoBecause parents are there for one thing: To teach you about life and how to survive in it. Parents (usually) have had big lives with lots of ups and downs and they know a lot through experience. While they are mostly right, it never crosses through their minds that they might be wrong, and they think of it wrong for a kid to try and teach them something. I have a parent that thinks me even questioning something they say to LEARN something is 'talking back.' And when I try to make it all better, it gets even worse.
I recommend using Google or something with a parent that thinks they are always right because if you even try and question the tiniest thing it turns into a huge problem. Take it from me, as I have experienced it. (lol) Just nod your head and say "thank you, thank you" and then go to google.
Not all parents are like this though. Some will take the time to explain things and understand your curiosity instead of just getting mad to make a point. With a parent like this, google should not have to be used. And in my opinion, using google when you have parents in the first place is kind of retarded because that's what parents are SUPPOSED to be. But when you need information that your parents or one of your parents won't give you then google is great.
