Do you need god parents?

They promise to take an interest in your moral and religious upbringing. Sometimes there is an understanding that they will take care of you if your parents fall ill or die. If you are baptised as an adult, you do not need god parents because you make the promises in the ceremony yourself. If you are not baptised, you don't need them at all!
