Best Answer

because our savior put them on this earth(GOD)

Or because wild jungle fowl (Gallus gallus) evolved, just like every other species on Earth. There are plenty of forums, each generally based on a religious and/or science perspective, from creationists (e.g. answersingensis) to atheists (e.g. Richard Dawkins site) where lively, and entertaining, arguments can be found on this topic. I'm sure Answers.com is not the place for such debates.

Chickens have a "pecking order." Greedy little buggers peck at others to get more food. Removing the beak keeps them from damaging other chickens.

How many times should you debeak your chicks?

Permanent debeaking is an often unnecessary procedure when used on chickens. Wire and cage raised chickens often need their beaks trimmed which is also known as debeaking, but is not permanent.
