I think that might be because TB germs are in all bodily fluids. The person might not even know that they contracted the disease fron the cigarette because it takes a fair amount of time for it to spread and start causing illness. The disease is slow growing but insidious and makes the person become immunodeficient. They will then be far more susceptible to other opportunistic illnesses and infections
