People who aren't members of WikiAnswers (or aren't logged in) are identified by ID numbers.
If they don't have an account here, they are identified by their computer's ID, which is called a ip address.
If you are logged in, your username is visible next to the house on the top of the blue bar on the left. If you are not logged in, to see what ID you are given you must first make a contribution and then look in the question history to see what ID you were given. The ID is associated with your IP in the WikiAnswers servers.
ID1234567890 or something like that represents an IP (Internet Protocal) address. It happens if someone does something while not logged it. We disguise the real address for privacy reasons.
Contributor ID numbers are anonymous users that are browsing and contributing via an IP Address. Supervisors see the IP Address, and do not see the ID Number. The reason non-members have an ID is because it is a way to track a certain person's contributions when they haven't signed up for an account. The ID keeps their IP address and other personal information private, and acts like a temporary username to track the person's contributions until they sign up for an account on WikiAnswers.
TAX ID numbers are private information. WikiAnswers does not know and will not publish private information.
That is more up to your decision. If you look at the username or ID that answers the question, it would show the amount of trust points (ID's do not have trust points, so trusting them is more of a last resort). When you look at the username, the higher the number is of trust points, the more reliable the answer is.
