Because they're being brainwashed. People believe in a magical garden with two naked people with a magical snake, but they disregard evolution and actual evidence lol. Besides Adam and Eve didn't originate from Jesus, nor Christianity. It all came from Jewish Faiths which christians stoled. Read Darwin. The truth is far more complicated. Even the Vatican accepts evolution at this point. The Old Testament was written by MEN who were completely ignorant of science. They new nothing of atoms, or viruses, or stellar evolution. They didn't even know how many planets there were in the solar system.

Whether you believe that the story of Adam and Eve is fact or legend, the truth is that there is no mention in the Biblical narrative of any gay people, not even the children of Adam and Eve.

Some people believe both in the biblical Adam and Eve and in the scientific model of the 'big bang' and subsequent evolution of species; and some people believe in neither. As for Adam and Eve, many Christians believe this story is only allegorical, in fact this is the way the early Church Father, Origen, explained it.Belief in the scientific model is strong in Europe and somewhat weaker in the United States. People with university education usually accept this as fact, but some people who did not complete high school tend to dismiss the scientific model in favour of Adam and Eve. The higher the level of education, not necessarily in science, the more likely are people to believe in what science tells us.
