Because they like it. And still? People are still listening to classical music and that has been around for hundreds of years. Rap is not a fad that will go away.
It doesn't, would be my guess. It's incorrect to assume that all black people listen to rap, or that it affects them as a whole in any way. There are many non-blacks who listen to and are affected by rap music, and there are blacks who do not listen to and are not in any way affected by rap music. I reckon what I'm trying to say is that I don't understand what you're getting at with this question.
i think people listen to rap music because its inspirational and it helps them get through rough times. It depend what kind of rap. I like Eminem because he is funny - just because he is so good at it, the way he gets words to fit in.. i find rap interesting - and there's always a story behind the rap, which i find good.
