Why was Christopher Columbus a hero?
He is considered a hero because at the time, he was thought to have discovered a new land. Although this "new land" was already inhabited by people already. He thought of the natives as savages. After tricking the natives into helping him with his agenda of dominating the land, he then began a crusade which claimed the lives of thousands of natives. Rather than teach the REAL history, our schools and government are much happier feeding the notion that he was a hero. This is not true in any way, shape, or form. Christopher Columbus never even stepped foot on the soil of what we now call North America.
How is Christopher Columbus guilty?

Many people believed Columbus as a hero due to him "discovered" America, and his extensive trade and discovery, traded with the newly discovered "New World" and islands also. He brings back many new riches, gold, other medals and spices to Europe. Christopher Columbus had accomplished a great discovery but was still a villain because he destroyed the Native American's lives and developed the slave trade. According to the "The System Of Empire" Indictment; In European system, they didn't value non-Christian as human being, they only count Christian and white as a people, Indian weren't Christian, that made Columbus and his men control them and took their land and make them labor.
