This is a personal opinion not fact.
But I have to say because most people are right handed and use their right hand and over time as we get older our finger prints may start to be affected by the things we do and well if you are right handed you will use the right hand more for activities and things, then you would for the left hand, hence why if you go the bank and they ask for left thumb print or left finger print, they figure that you are not ambidextrous and/or use your left hand at all or much for things and you will have a better finger print with the left thumb or fingers on that hand.
That is my theory on this anyways.
That over time with usage of the right hand you will lose some of your imprints of your finger prints due to callouses and cuts and scars and such.
If you use your right hand more then your left hand for things which i do.
If you clasp your hand with your left thumb over your right, this is a dominant (more common) way of doing so. People who clasp their hands with their right thumb on top have the recessive genes. Left hand on top- Ll or LL right hand on top- ll
Yes. Crossing your left thumb over your right is a dominant trait, crossing your right over your left recessive. The dominant trait is accompanied by hair on the second joint of one or more fingers and a bent baby finger that curves in towards the ring finger.
The thumb on the human hand has only two phalanges, or joints, whereas human fingers each have 3 phalanges. This give the thumb greater movement and enables it to do things the fingers can't do. Collectively the fingers and thumbs are known as digits. The thumb is said to be opposable to the fingers. By definition, the thumb is both a finger and not a finger. "Finger" can mean any of the four digits besides the thumb OR any digit including the thumb. It is up to the person to decide whether or not the thumb is considered a finger.

According to indian tradition catching a woman's left hand indicates Panigrahanam that means marrying the woman. So, in order to reduce this risk they started practising usage of right hand to women.

Commonly, people are right handed. Right-handers tend to find it easier to strike the spacebar with their thumb (If choosing between the left and right thumbs). Although in traditional typing rules, using either thumb is OK.
The thumb is called a thumb instead of a finger because it is smaller than a finger. A thumb also has 2 joints and a finger has 3.
