Animal cells do in fact have a vacuole, just not as prominent as that of plant cells. Plant cells use the vacuole not only for storage, but also because it adds structure and rigidity to the cell.
Plants stay in the same place, and this can put a lot of stress on their cells. Therefore, they have to have something to support themselves. Animals, on the other hand, have to move quickly, and this is nearly impossible with cell walls. Besides, animals don't need cell walls as they do not stay in exactly the same position for very long.
Plant cells need more protection than animal cells. So, plant cells have cell walls in addition to cell membrane but animal cell does not need more protection. So, it lack cell wall.
Because plant cells need to have a strong structure to hold the plant up...with out them the plant would just fall over.... animal cells have a skeleton like structure!!
Plant cells have cell walls as plants do not have a skeletal system like animals to keep them upright.
Because the cell wall acts as structure (like our bones) and protection (like our skull and skin)
The cell wall provides extra protection and support that a plant cell needs to keep its shape. It also help to keep in water.
Cell walls stiffen plants so they may stand. Animals bear specialized cells like bone or kiton with their own permeability and needs and must be sequestered of viscera.
plants need extra space to store the products of photsynthesis
Plant cells have cell walls. Animal cells do not.
Both, most plant cells have a cell wall but animal cells do not.
Plant cells contain cell walls, chloroplasts, and a permanent vacuole. Animal cells contain lysosomes. That is how plant and animal cells are different.
animal cells do not possess a cell wall and plant cell possess a cell wall as well as a cell membrane. animal cells cannot plasmolyse but plant cells can.
Animal cells have a cell membrane and it also has centrioles on the other hand plant cells have a cell wall, vacuole, and chloroplast.
Only plant cells have a cell wall. Animal cells do not have cell walls.
Plant cells have chloroplasts (which make food for the plant through photosynthesis) and a cell wall. Animal cells do not; they only have a cell membrane (plant cells have a cell membrane and a cell wall).
Animal cells have no cell wall Plant cells have a cell wall and contain chloroplasts.
Cells have a cell wall animal cell's don't have a cell wall.
Plant Cells have a cell wall and chlorophyl when Animal cells do not. Animal cells have a cell membrane instead of a cell wall.
Plant cells have a cell wall on the outer layer. Animal cells do not have a cell wall they have a cell membrane.
Animal cell do not have cell wall while plant cell do have cell wall. In Animal cell plastids are usually absent and plant cell have plastids.
animal cells have a nucleus and plant cells do not. Animal cells also have a cell wall.
Bacteria do not have membrane-bound organelles. They do not have mitochondria, a Golgi apparatus, or endoplasmic reticulum. Plant and animal cells have all these things.
The cell wall is the outside covering that all plant cells have. This cell wall is not found in animal cells.
Plant Cells have a Cell wall. Animal Cells do not.
A difference between animal cells and plant cells is that plant cells have a cell wall and animal cells do not.Large, Central Vacuole Cell Wall Chloroplasts
