You dont. seriously
I dont think that you need to torque down the brake caliipers. I never have and it has never hurt me any, as long as you get them really tight.
it need to be cleand its to much dirt inside the calipers bushing you dont need to chang it just open it and clean it and put it back its gune abe ok.
remove the caliper slider bolts and the brake hose then put the new caliper on, dont forget to bleed the new caliper and top off brake fluid when finished
it is natural for people to want things that others do not. that is why people want good cars; to have something others dont
if you slam on the brakes hard then the wheels dont lock up
because you dont have the opption of down shifting to slow you down
Sometimes the rear drums rust to the shoes and lock them up especially if the car has been setting with the parking brake on. You probably will have to take the wheels off then hit the drums with a hammer to break them loose from the shoes. Remove the drums and sand the shoes and drums. These cars are notorious for rear disk brake calipers freezing. I think it was even recalled for this. Check to see if you have rear disk brakes, if you do then most likely it's the calipers. You can buy remanufactured calipers from any parts store. some times rocking the car back and forth get it free but DONT drag the car can really mess it up trust me i did it.
if your brake pedal is constantly getting spongy and you have to bleed the calipers constantly the original calipers had a crappy design where the 4 piston calipers would rust internally and pit where they would suck in air and cause low btake pedal and car would not stop for sh==t. reman calipers are avail. cheap now they are made with stainless steel internals. dont just fix the one that pumps air out do it once and right. when you bleed them you start the furthest wheel from the master cyl so do r/rear first l/rear next r/ frpnt 3rd l/ front last
make sure that your brake pads and or calipers dont need replacing because if the pads are metal to metal for too long the wheel will seize up and no longer rotate
The minimum thickness will be stamped on the hub of the rotor. If you dont have a micrometer, a good rule of thumb i use is if you have to compress the calipers to get them to slide off the rotor you usually need new ones.
i thought it was going to be difficult too but it is really quite simple, its exactly the same as doing front pads you dont need to worry about the hand brake at all. There is two bolts that hold the brake calipers in place, undo those pry the pads back to get some clearance and slot the new pads in and bolt back up.
