People have the nose that suited their ancestors' living conditions.
In warm, moist areas of Africa, a wider, flatter nose worked best.
When humans moved into dryer and/or colder areas, a different nose shape developed- longer and narrower. This helped control heat loss, and protected the lungs by warming and moistening the inhaled air.
