This website gives the answers of it's readers and contributers. Sometimes the contributors misunderstand the question - sometimes the question is worded incoherently - sometimes the asker doesn't really know what they want to ask. Overall, most of the answers are honest and are edited a couple of times to provide the best information available.

∙ 12y agoThis website shouldn't be giving you fake answers. Most fake or incorrect answers are obtained if contributors are unknowningly providing wrong information. Most answers here should not be fake but real and truthful.

Those are some reasons why Answers.com may give wrong answers.

The main reason is because this is a wiki site. That means that any contributor can give answers, even wrong ones. Some deliberately give unhelpful or wrong answers, but most simply think they know the answer when they don't.

Why does this website never get answers right?
Yes Yes We get more answers right than wrong. The wrong answers are part of the fun, we get to be smarter than the people who give us wrong answers and correct them. Keep in mind, many times you find a wrong answer, it is from some bored kid in computer class just vandalizing the site because he/she has nothing better to do. You could do your part and come in to give some good answers on subjects you are really smart at.
