Fidel Castro started to depopulate Cuba as other communist Countries like Stalin Russia and Hitler Germany. He did not pick on ethnic group what so ever. He mass murdered politicians, a whole bunch of Cuban troops under Batista and many civilians.A year after the coup, he brought in missiles from the Soviet Union and the US put an embargo to Cuba. After that the country was weaken far less than before. The buildings in Havana are falling in pieces with no money to repair them.
I could be wrong, but I don't think he ever was.
i think 32
I think It is Fidelito Castro if you don't believe me ill put a link of where it says its in one of the paragraphs where it says his son Fidelito Castro.
I don't think so he's to old I believe it's either his brother or his son in power, but I for get. Fidel Castro turned over the president position to his younger brother Raul Castro almost four years ago. Fidel has been very ill for the last four years that is why he cannot exercise presidential duties. However, many say that Raul Castro is president in name only because the decisions how to run the island are still being made by Fidel Castro.
I think cubas fidel Castro was involved in it
The president of Cuba is currently Fidel Castro. Fidel is now sick and has turned to his brother Raul Castro for help. In this very moment Fidel is guiding Raul on what to do!! Think of Raul as the vice president. P.S. Fidel has led a dictatorship for at least ten years or more! What we can find here in America is usually unreachable to Cubans. Cuba has disrupted and . destroyed little by little thanks to Fidel :(
I think your best bet of writing to Castro (if you in the US) would be to befriend someone who works at a Cuban embassy in another country and personally ask them if they could deliver it.
1 January 1959 Sorry, i think you are asking a perfectly good question because after all "When did Fidel Castro EVER become a dictator?" He became Priminister of Cuba after leading a revolution against the dictator Batista. As soon as batista became dictator he discarded the Cuban constitution by only allowing staged elections which only himself could win. In 1959 Fidel Castro lead a revolution in which he overthrew Batistas Dictatorship. Therefore becoming Priminister and later in 1976 the Cuban President.
i think it was fidel castro. after the bay of pigs invasion he was easily persuaded to ally himself with the USSR.
Why do the people of Congo not think of themselves as one nation
I don't think you could call Khrushchev and Castro friends. More like allies with a common enemy. Khrushchev would have been the superior of the two as the leader of the Soviet Union and I think he would have looked upon Castro as a leader of a Soviet satellite nation. Castro hadn't been the leader of Cuba for very long when he forged his alliance with Khrushchev. Having Khrushchev as an ally would have given him some much needed power on the world stage and protected his position in Cuba. For Khrushchev 's part Cuba gave him a foothold off the coast of the United States which he would have considered valuable for the Soviet purposes.
Anti-Castro activist were upset with Kennedy for not fully supporting the "Bay of Pigs" Invasion that was an attempt to over throw Castro in Cuba.
