You have a short some where in your vehicle wiring. Go to an electrical repair shop for diagnosis. IT's costly, but first before you just leave your vehicle with any repair shop, check them out with the Better Business Bureau to see how they stand on quality and workmanship and stuff like that.

The odometer light fuse also controls other lights on your instrument panel. The odometer light can be removed by removing the instrument panel cover. Push the light bulb in and turn at the same time. The light bulb will come out. Replace it with a new light bulb.
Just saying this but when my instrument panel stopped working, I unscrewed the fuse box off and replaced the "Gauges" fuse. It is a red 10 amp fuse. As soon as i popped the new fuse in, my dash lit up like new.
